Who we are

Critical Desk is published by Capital Direct Funding. This policy covers this website only. The publisher's main site has its own privacy policy: Capital Direct Funding privacy policy.

What we collect

If you allow analytics: we use PostHog, a product-analytics service, to understand which pages, quizzes and tools help readers. With your consent it sets a first-party cookie/local-storage identifier and records pages viewed, buttons clicked and quiz answer codes (not your name or email). Session recording and keystroke capture are switched off. If you decline, the analytics script is never loaded.

If you submit a form: your email address, your consent, and (for quiz results) the result you received. Forms are processed by our form provider and delivered to the publisher's team; we use them only to send what you asked for.

Server logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard request data such as IP address and user agent to deliver and secure the site.

How we use it

To improve the guides and tools, to send email you requested, and to measure which guides lead readers to the publisher's main site (via UTM tags on links). We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention

Analytics events are kept for up to 12 months. Email subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and California rights

You can decline or withdraw analytics consent at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer (shown when analytics is enabled). We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals as a decline.

California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold. Send requests to Capital Direct Funding via its contact page. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
